What to eat and not eat for healthy skin and get rid of Acne.
You have probably experienced or somebody in your family or a friend has acne or other skin issues, you've likely tried cleaning your skin more often using topical ointments and treatments but what you eat actually has a big impact on your skin health.
so let's talk about how food
impacts our skin. if you think about it your skin is actually an expression of
what's going on inside of your body so the types of food that we really want to
avoid are going to be inflammatory foods. You know we think of acne as a kind of
treatment with antibiotics like an infectious disease or infectious condition but
actually, acne is an inflammatory condition. So first
of all let's talk about the food that we kind of wants to stay away from that

anything inflammatory that's usually going to include dairy and gluten those
are big contributors and any other foods that’s is going to spike your blood sugar.
Most people might think fat is the number one cause of acne because we don't
want more oil and that's it's counter-intuitive but we actually want to think
of moisturizing ourselves from the inside out because if you have proper fats
in your diet and your skin is moisturized from inside out, it's not going to
overcompensate by overproducing oil.
Let us now take a look at some food and drinks that are good for our skin and body in general. To begin some people might think it’s the cacao in the chocolate which is bad for acne but it's actually the milk and the sugar in chocolate that tend to be problematic so if you're eating a really high-quality cacao dark chocolate or using row cacao for drink or recipes it's beneficial since it's loaded with magnesium and zinc as well.
Cereals like nuts and seeds have
double benefits because they're very high in magnesium and zinc and also
nutrients that are really crucial for healthy skin in fact magnesium and
zinc deficiencies can actually cause acne. Therefore, you should consider a
daily vitamin or supplement if you have this issue with the deficiency of these
minerals. A good breakfast could be protein and healthy fats for example
breakfast burrito, omelet, and hard-boiled eggs can be great.
Avocados are also really great for your skin and liver, especially for those who struggle with adult acne that's often a common problem so eating liver-loving foods that are high in fiber and good for detoxification and really helpful. Food and fruits that are also very rich in vitamin C are very effective in fighting acne since vitamin C helps to preserve collagen in the skin.
Antioxidants like berries are also
really good in fighting acne as an inflammatory condition. The more we can
fight oxidation in the body the better. It is also very important to stay hydrated
by drinking plenty of water. Soda, coffee, and other liquids drinks shouldn’t be
considered staying hydrated. This can be a challenge when it comes to teenagers
and children but we as adults who are their guardians and parents we have to emphasize
to them the benefits.
